Bhind News Today: A villager and two SDERF jawans died while trying to save a cow along with the villagers in Kunwari river in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed grief over this incident and has given instructions to provide assistance to the affected families.

25 lakh assistance to the deceased soldiers
On the instructions of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, approval has been given to provide financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh each to the families of deceased jawans Praveen Kushwaha and Hardas Chauhan. Apart from this, financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh has been approved to the family of rural citizen Vijay Kushwaha who died in the incident.
During the rescue, the jawans’ boat capsized
Actually, on Wednesday (21 August), there was information about villagers being stranded in the Kunari river of Bhind district. After receiving the information, SDERF personnel reached the spot. During the rescue of the villagers, the team’s boat capsized.
In the accident, one SDERF jawan and one Home Guard jawan were swept away in the strong current of the Kunwari river. Apart from this, a villager also died after being swept away in the strong current.
100 rescue teams were deployed for the rescue
The officer said that about 100 rescue teams were deployed to search for the missing jawans in this area, about 12 km from the district headquarters. Superintendent of Police Asit Yadav said that a person named Vijay Singh jumped into the water after a cow got stuck in a gate of the dam built on the Kunwari river on Wednesday evening.
Seeing Dinesh trapped in the bushes in the middle of the river, the villagers informed the authorities. Who sought the help of the State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) to rescue him.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) said that a three-member SDERF team wearing life jackets entered the river. He said that however, their boat capsized, due to which the rescue workers fell into the strong current of water.
