CM Sukhu held an important meeting with the officials of the Tourism Department, gave this big gift to Palampur

Himachal Pradesh Tourism: Himachal Pradesh is working to establish its identity as a tourist state across the world. The government has also resolved to establish Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh as the tourism capital.

The livelihood of lakhs of people in the state is linked with the tourism business. In such a situation, the government’s objective is not only to increase the economic condition of the state by exploring tourism opportunities, but it is also important to provide employment to the people. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu took out time from the monsoon session of the Assembly and held an important meeting with the Tourism Department.

Conference hall will be built in Palampur

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has directed the Tourism Department to explore the possibility of building a conference hall with a capacity of at least five thousand people in Palampur of Kangra district. He said that strong infrastructure is needed for big events.

Such construction works will give a boost to the tourism sector in the state. He also reviewed the expansion work of Kangra airport. Tourism sector is also playing an important role in strengthening the economy of Himachal Pradesh. The tourism sector will provide livelihood opportunities to thousands of families directly and indirectly.

Helicopter construction work should be done on time

During this important meeting of the Tourism Department, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu asked to complete the tourism projects along with heliports and hotels on time. He said that the implementation of these projects will be ensured by the Public Works Department. He directed that all heliports should be constructed as per the guidelines of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. The Chief Minister said that the construction of helicopters in all the districts of Himachal Pradesh will not only promote tourism here, but it can also be used during emergencies.
