Jharkhand Politics: Jharkhand BJP has demanded from the Governor that legal action should be taken against Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto for his unconstitutional remarks against the Raj Bhavan. In fact, the party delegation that went to the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday under the leadership of BJP State President Deepak Prakash said that how can the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly share the platform of any political party. The party leaders, while handing over the memorandum to the Governor, said that the Speaker’s speech from JMM’s platform and targeting the Raj Bhavan is indecent and against the dignity of the post.
Such a person should not be in this position even for a moment. Direct comment on Raj Bhavan by the speaker is unconstitutional. It has been said in the memorandum that apart from the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, unparliamentary and unconstitutional statements are being made continuously by the Chief Minister and the people sitting on constitutional posts in the government. It seems that all this has become a part of their conduct and behaviour. Along with this, the BJP leaders handed over the clippings of the Speaker’s statement published in the newspapers to the Governor. Said, on June 26, while addressing the workers in a program of JMM, the speaker made serious allegations against the Raj Bhavan. It is tantamount to tarnishing the state.

Speaker did not say anything wrong – JMM
On the other hand, the party leaders said that it is the constitutional responsibility of the Governor to get legal information from the government on any bill. It is not the first time that the Raj Bhavan has returned a bill, but viewing a constitutional proceeding through party prism is a violation of decorum. On the other hand, JMM has said that Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato has not made any wrong remarks in the worker’s conference organized in his constituency on 26 June. Senior JMM leader Supriyo Bhattacharya has said that protesting against the BJP by going to the Raj Bhavan exposes their real face.
BJP only points fingers at others – JMM
The work of these people has now come out in the open. He said that the Governor had also gone on a tour of Santhal Pargana recently. There he had said that Dadagiri will not be allowed to run in Santhal Pargana. Supriyo said that only elected public representatives are in the mainstream of democracy. Now it is not a good thing to challenge any MLA and MP. Supriyo Bhattacharya said that BJP only sees the black face of others. He should see his face in that mirror before showing it to others. Supriyo Bhattacharya said that the speaker is also the leader of a party. It is also his responsibility to fulfill his aspirations when he goes among the workers. JMM workers in Santhal Pargana are angry with the Governor’s statement. They are seeking protection from their party leader.
