Delhi News: The Crime Branch team of Delhi Police has arrested a shooter of notorious gangster Chhenu gang involved in a murder for robbery in Civil Lines area, who has been identified as Mohit Chauhan (26), a resident of Ghaziabad Loni. The accused has been involved in one and a half dozen incidents like murder, robbery, dacoity, attempt to murder, firing. The police arrested the accused from Bulandshahr in UP.
According to the police, after the loss in crypto currency, the accused entered the world of crime through his acquaintance Rashid Khan, after which he joined the Chhenu gang. Irfan Pehalwan is running the Chhenu gang. After Reiki, this gang targets and loots businessmen of Delhi’s Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, Gaffar Market.

According to Special CP Ravindra Kumar Yadav, an incident of loot and murder took place in the Civil Lines area on May 8, in which a man was shot dead by armed robbers. The Civil Lines Police was investigating this. Meanwhile, Constable Monit of the Crime Branch received information from secret sources, in which he came to know that Mohit Chauhan, the main shooter of the Civil Lines murder case, was about to come on a bike to his uncle’s dhaba located on the Bulandshahr-Aligarh Highway. On receiving this information, under the supervision of DCP Amit Goyal, a team consisting of ACP Ramesh Chandra, Inspector Manmeet Malik, SI Vikas, Head Constable Sachin and others was formed to nab the accused.
The police team nabbed the accused from Rajputana Dhaba near Bulandshahr-Aligarh Highway by setting a trap on the basis of manual intelligence and technical investigation. During interrogation, accused Mohit Chauhan disclosed that he along with 5 other gang members Faheem, Sammu, Shahnawaz, Alam and Javed had robbed the victim.
At the same time, the Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested Shivam (23), an interstate arms smuggler, from whom 10 illegal pistols have been recovered. The accused used to bring weapons from Madhya Pradesh on demand and supply them to the miscreants of Delhi-NCR. DCP Rajeev Ranjan Singh said that the accused was arrested by the team of Inspectors Satish Rana and Manoj Kumar under the leadership of ACP Lalit Mohan Negi and Hriday Bhushan. The team had received input that Shivam had bought weapons from a person named Amit in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, and was coming to Delhi to deliver the consignment. After verifying the information, the team caught him by placing a trap under the Barapullah flyover. Police has recovered a cache of weapons from their possession. During interrogation, it was told that he was in contact with a supplier of illegal weapons named Amit Yadav in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh.
