Delhi: Ruckus created on the orders of Jamia Millia Islamia, students said – ‘An attempt to suppress freedom’

Delhi News: Protesting and raising slogans against constitutional people is not allowed in Jamia Millia Islamia University. Disciplinary action will be taken against students who violate the order. Students have started protesting against the notification issued by the university administration on November 29.

He called the notification anti-student. According to the notification, it has come to notice that some students are raising slogans against the Prime Minister and law enforcement agencies without permission or information.

Students were advised not to organize meetings, gatherings or protests in any part of the university campus without permission. Protests and sloganeering against constitutional people will not be allowed. Disciplinary action will be taken against students for violating the order. Students said that important issues are raised and questions are asked to the responsible people. Sakhi, a third year student, said that the university administration should strengthen the backbone.

Jamia students angry over notification

He said that if there is democracy in India then questions will also be asked. The Prime Minister will also be criticized. Why can’t the youth have independent thinking? The culture of Jamia is being taken towards destruction. Saurabh, associated with the student organization AISA, said that a similar notification had come on 29 August 2022 also. Notices started coming to the students participating in the protest. He asked whether the Prime Minister is above the Constitution.

Asked these questions to the university administration

He said that the notification is an agenda to suppress freedom. Student organizations raise the issue of hostel, mess, fees. What is wrong in raising the issue of Sambhal? Another student Shahjahan said that he has been raising his voice against wrong and will do so in future too. There is no sloganeering against the Constitution. If there is democracy in India then questions can be asked. There is resentment and anger among the students over the university’s notification. Students say that they also raise different issues of the country. He said that unconstitutional slogans are not raised during the protest.
