Flood and landslides created havoc in Himachal, couple and son died due to house collapse

Himachal Pradesh News: In Himachal Pradesh, there is chaos in Lahaul and Spiti due to sudden heavy rains and landslides since yesterday. Life is badly affected. There is also information about the death of a couple and son due to the collapse of a house. A part of National Highway 3 has also been washed away due to the spate in the Beas river in Kullu.

In an official statement regarding rain and landslides in Himachal, it has been said that there was a sudden flood and landslide in Gramphu village and Chhota Dharra in the early hours of Sunday. This is a report of the death of a couple and their son. District Emergency Operation Center Lahaul Spiti has reported the incident of flash flood and landslide at AEC BRO 94 RCC, NH 505 (Sumdo Kaza-Gramphu). According to the information released from this center, the road between Gramphu to Chhota Dharra is blocked at various places.

Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra suspended till tomorrow

HP SEOC said that a group of 30 college students who fell on the road due to landslide have been rescued safely. Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra has been suspended for July 9 and 10 due to ‘red’ alert for heavy rains and damage to the yatra route beyond Parvati Bagh. Kullu Shimla Deputy Commissioner Ashutosh Garg has told that there is information about the death of a couple and a child due to being buried under the debris in Kumarsen.
