Flood of faith in Chardham Yatra, 20 thousand devotees have visited Gangotri-Yamunotri so far

The holy Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand has started this year too with unprecedented enthusiasm of the devotees. The number of pilgrims has been continuously increasing since the beginning of the Yatra from 19th April. The figure of mandatory registration for the Yatra has crossed 20 lakh, which shows the popularity of this religious event and the faith of the devotees.

Registration has been made mandatory by the Uttar Pradesh government to make travel organized and safe. Devotees can register through both online and offline modes, making the process simple and accessible. According to the report of the Tourism Department, a total of more than 20 lakh devotees have registered for Chardham Yatra and Hemkund Sahib from March 6 to April 21.

A huge crowd of devotees is being seen in the initial phase of the Yatra. After the opening of the doors of Gangotri Dham and Yamunotri Dham, more than 20 thousand devotees have visited within just three days. This number is likely to increase rapidly in the coming days.

More than 7.23 lakh registrations so far for Kedarnath Dham

If we talk about the registration figures for different Dhams, then Kedarnath Dham is at the forefront, where more than 7.23 lakh devotees have registered so far. After this, 6.10 lakh registrations have been registered for Badrinath Dham, 3.61 lakh for Gangotri Dham and 3.51 lakh for Yamunotri Dham. At the same time, 21,867 devotees have also registered for Hemkund Sahib.

Chardham Yatra attracts lakhs of devotees from India and abroad every year. These four Dhams, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, situated in the lap of Himalayas, are considered very sacred in Hindu religion. Visiting here is considered an important spiritual experience of life.

Mandatory registration before coming on trip

Extensive arrangements have been made by the government and administration to conduct the yatra safely and smoothly. Special attention is being given to improving health services, security arrangements, traffic control and accommodation facilities. Also, devotees are being appealed to compulsorily register before coming on the yatra and follow the prescribed guidelines. Initial figures clearly indicate that Chardham Yatra can create new records this year. With the confluence of faith, enthusiasm and better arrangements, this journey once again seems to be becoming a center of spiritual energy.
