Gangrape of minor in Gonda, case registered under Posco Act, one accused arrested, second absconding

UP Gangrape Case: The incident of gang rape with a minor girl has come to light in Gonda. The minor had gone to collect mangoes from the orchard. It is alleged that two youths ambushed, caught and misbehaved with the minor. The sensational incident is from a village in Umri Begumganj area. After getting the information, the police reached the spot, got the minor’s medical examination done overnight and started action by registering a case under several sections on the basis of Tahrir. While taking action, the police has arrested an accused. The age of both the accused is said to be around 18 to 20 years. Police is continuously raiding for the arrest of the second accused. Police has registered a case under 376 DB and POSCO Act.

The 16-year-old minor had gone to the orchard to pick mangoes. Sanjay Yadav and Nikul Yadav of the village were already ambushed. On reaching the mango orchard, they caught hold of the minor girl and dragged her into the bush. He carried out the incident of cruelty with the minor. He also threatened to kill me if I told anyone. After the incident, both fled from the spot. The minor girl reached home crying and told her mother about the incident. The mother called her husband living in Delhi and informed about the brutality that had happened to the minor girl.

One accused arrested, second absconding
Husband living in Delhi called and informed the police. After getting information about the incident, CO Tarabganj Sansar Singh Rathi and Police Station President Sanjeev Verma reached the spot. He sent the victim to the district hospital medical. Umribegumganj police arrested an accused on the Tahrir given by the family members. A case was registered against Sanjay Yadav and Nikul Yadav under gangrape, POCSO Act and other sections. The police team is constantly raiding for the arrest of the second absconding accused. Superintendent of Police Akash Tomar has told that a case of 376 DB and POSCO Act has been written under the police station Umri Begumganj area. Police has arrested an accused. The age of both the accused is around 18 to 20 years. Police is engaged in further action.
