Gangster Sanjeev Jeeva Murder: Vijay Yadav, accused of killing gangster Sanjeev Maheshwari Jeeva, may be subjected to a narco test in a courtroom in Lucknow on June 7, as he is constantly dodging the police team that is interrogating him. The Lucknow police, which got Vijay Yadav’s three-day police remand from the CJM court from June 15, interrogated him for hours, but Vijay continued to mislead the police about the mastermind of the murder.
An Assistant Commissioner of Police rank officer and Additional DCP rank officer interrogated him, while another team interrogated the accused till late Thursday night. He is not giving a clear answer and we will have to conduct his narco test to unearth the conspiracy behind the murder, said a senior police officer. In a way, Vijay Yadav is behaving like the three attackers of Atiq and Ashraf Ahmed.
The police team is likely to take the accused to the hotel where he stayed and from where he got the lawyer’s coat. Officials said that Vijay Yadav was asked about his background, since when he was running the gun racket and his whereabouts in the days before the murder, but Vijay did not give concrete answers to any of the questions.
He has also not talked about other members of his team who were allegedly present in the court during the murder with a back-up plan. Another senior official said that through their counterparts in Nepal, they are gathering information about the hotel where the accused used to work. On June 7, Vijay Yadav fired six rounds at Sanjeev Maheshwari Jeeva, who was brought for hearing in the court room.
