Constitutionally, Sonia Gandhi may be the Member of Parliament here, but apart from her, neither any other representative of the Congress has been elected here, nor does Sonia Gandhi have any mass base.

Dinesh Singh said that the seat of the municipality may have been won by the Congress candidate, but that victory is of a special person. There is no victory of Congress. Actually, Rae Bareli is very important for BJP in terms of Lok Sabha elections. This time, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP has claimed to feed lotus in Rae Bareli, but before that, the victory of Congress on the municipality seat seems to be a setback for BJP.
