HRTC is losing 69 crores every month, what is the plan to recover from the loss?

HRTC Loss Himachal: Himachal Road Transport Corporation is considered the lifeline of the hill state of Himachal Pradesh. 3 thousand 132 buses of the corporation run across the state. These buses are operated on 3 thousand 719 routes. Himachal Road Transport Corporation, which provides bus facility from Delhi to Leh, is in loss of 1 thousand 355 crores. Himachal Road Transport Corporation spends Rs 144 crore every month while earning only Rs 65 crore. In this way Himachal Road Transport Corporation suffers a loss of Rs 69 crore every month.

Government will remove old buses from use

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, who is handling the Transport Department in Himachal Pradesh, said that the government helps the corporation management to run the HRTC. He said that the government is continuously working on improving the system. The Deputy Chief Minister said that orders have been given by the government to shut down 15-year-old buses. The government is removing 167 buses from the road with immediate effect. Apart from this, there are 1 thousand 199 buses in the state, which are very dilapidated and their time has come to an end. He said that the state government has issued instructions to remove 202 of these buses with immediate effect. Agnihotri said that the government is going to remove a total of 369 buses from the road. In this way, 2 thousand 773 buses will be left with the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation. Soon there is a plan to include 600 new buses in the state. Out of these, the procurement of 196 has been completed while the process of others is in progress.

Salary-pension will be received on 7th of every month

Himachal Road Transport Corporation employees and retired pensioner employees also have to wait for salary and pension every month. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government will now try to pay salaries on the 7th of every month. He said that there was delay in giving pension because there is a pressure of Rs 9 crore on the government to give pension. He said that the corporation management has talked to the government in this regard and the government will release this entire amount. He said that the management has requested the government that Rs 69 crore should be made available to the corporation management in one go. The Deputy Chief Minister said that even the driver-conductor has not received the night allowance for about 39 months. Will try to release it soon.

volvo buses will have to pay tax

To increase the income of the government, Himachal Pradesh government has decided to impose tax on Volvo buses coming from outside states. These buses will have to pay Rs 9 lakh annually as tax. This tax will be around 75 thousand rupees every month. Volvo buses coming to Himachal Pradesh without tax will be fined.

Consideration of closing routes started on political grounds

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that some forms have also been started in the previous government on political grounds. The closure of these routes will also be considered. Apart from this, feedback of ground zero is being taken from the driver-conductor, so that the problems can be reduced.
