CM Mohan Yadav on Bulldozer Action: In many BJP ruled states of the country, action has been taken to run bulldozers on the illegal constructions of the accused. However, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has openly stated that he does not like this culture. The CM said that he has never been in favor of running bulldozers. The CM also claimed that he has always denied this.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said this in an interview to Aaj Tak. This statement of the CM has come at a time when the Supreme Court called the bulldozer action wrong and ordered a ban on it. The Supreme Court passed an order that no house will be demolished without the permission of the court till October 1, 2024. However, this does not include public roads, places and railway tracks.
Bulldozer action happened several times in Madhya Pradesh
It is known that after the formation of Mohan Yadav’s government in the year 2023, it has happened many times that bulldozer action has been taken on the houses of the accused. The illegal properties of many accused have been demolished. A bulldozer was also run on the house of the accused who cut the hand of a BJP worker. However, in this case, CM Mohan Yadav says that he does not like bulldozer action and has always been vocal about it.
What was the order of the Supreme Court?
While giving the order in the case of bulldozer culture, the Supreme Court had said that cases of illegal demolition go against the values of the Constitution. This order was given during the hearing of petitions in which it was alleged that the properties of the accused are being demolished in many states. Allegations were also made that only the houses of the accused belonging to a particular religion are being demolished.
