Muzaffarnagar: Dead lizard found in food, condition of young man deteriorated, entire hotel sealed

A big issue regarding the quality of food has come to light in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. There was a stir in the area after a dead lizard was found in chicken purchased from a hotel in Meerapur town. The video of the incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media, in which the lizard is clearly visible inside the chicken.

According to the information, a young man named Rohan, a resident of Meerapur, had bought chicken from Hotel Alkareem on Monday night. While eating food, the young man felt something different in the taste and food. When the chicken was examined carefully, a dead lizard was found inside it. The family members recorded the video of this entire incident in their mobile phones, which later went viral on social media.

Patient’s condition critical, referred to Meerut

Family members allege that the young man’s health suddenly deteriorated shortly after eating chicken. He was first admitted to Muzaffarnagar hospital, but when his condition became critical, the doctors referred him to Meerut.

As soon as information about the matter was received, the local police, food safety department and administrative team reached the hotel on Tuesday. The officials conducted an investigation on the spot, took food samples and sealed the hotel with immediate effect.

Strict action against hotel owner

CO Jansath Rishika Singh said that after receiving information about the youth’s ill health, the police took immediate action. The hotel has been sealed after a joint investigation with the Food Inspector and administrative officials. Further legal action is underway in the matter.
