Nashik: Youth lynched on suspicion of carrying ‘beef’ in car, 11 accused arrested

Nashik Crime News: A 32-year-old man was lynched by a group of alleged ‘cow vigilantes’ on suspicion of transporting beef in Maharashtra’s Nashik district. Police gave this information on Monday. This is the second incident in Nashik within the last about two weeks when a person has been murdered by alleged cow vigilantes.

The incident took place near Gambhirwadi on Ghoti-Sinnar road in Igatpuri area of ​​Nashik at around 5.30 pm on Saturday, an official said. Ghoti police said that 11 people have been arrested in this case. The officer said that two people from Kurla area of ​​Mumbai were carrying meat in a car. During this, he was allegedly attacked by a group of 10 to 15 ‘gau rakshaks’ with ‘steel’ rods and wooden sticks.

One of the two injured died in the hospital
Afan Ansari (32) and his associate Nasir Qureshi (24), who were going to Mumbai, were seriously injured in the attack, the police officer said. Both were taken to SMBT Hospital in Dhamangaon area, where Ansari died during treatment. Nasir Qureshi’s treatment is going on. The official said that on the basis of Nasir’s complaint, the Ghoti police arrested 11 people and booked them on murder charges.

Earlier on June 8, the attack was done
The officer said that the meat samples have been sent to the ‘forensic lab’ for testing. The investigation of this matter is going on. Let us tell you that earlier on June 8, three people carrying cattle in a tempo were allegedly attacked by a group of ‘cow protectors’. The body of one of the three people was found on June 10 from a valley in Ghatandevi of Igatpuri area. The deceased was identified as Lukman Ansari (23).
