This goat is in demand in Asia
Dr. Shankar Lal told that we have a farm in Hanumangarh where there are goats of this breed. This is a very special type of breed which is in demand all over Asia. It is found in Sojat of Pali district, hence its name means Sojat breed. Asia’s biggest market is situated in Girnar, where this goat breed is in high demand and especially it remains in demand at the time of sacrifice. Talking about its specialty, the most attractive thing is its ears which are about one and a half feet in length. Also, its hair color is white and its skin is pink in colour. Apart from this, its length and width also attract.

He told that the goat of this breed also gives a lot of milk, but it is mostly in demand for meat work only. For example, if we talk about this shera goat, its weight is 105 kg. He told that even if 4 sheep and goats are mixed, this much weight is not possible. It is also said that up to 45% meat is available from goats of other breeds, but 48-50% is available in this breed. Not only this, its weight increases very quickly. Its weight reaches 70-80 kg in a year. An adult goat gives 40-50 kilos of meat. Also, it gives more meat while consuming less fodder. It is a breed that gives more profit in less cost for the farmers.

There, in the competition, scientists look at many parameters including breed characteristics, breed, width, length, production. After this the winner and runner up are declared. Such fairs were held in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh in which it has been the champion. Animal husbandry can prove to be a boon for the farmers.
