Kota News: Sangod MLA and former minister Bharat Singh (MLA Bharat Singh) has once again raised his voice for bringing cheetahs in Mukundra Tiger Reserve amidst the ongoing tussle over bringing cheetahs. He has accused the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) that it is because of him that cheetahs are not able to come to Mukundra. While Mukundra’s forest is the safest and most beautiful for cheetahs. Bharat Singh said that Mukundara’s future is bright, but the responsible people have twisted it. He said that NTCA is the saddest committee. Remove NTCA and authorize the Principal Chief Conservative of Forest here, then the whole arrangement of the forest will be wonderful.
It is noteworthy that three of the cheetahs brought from Namibia and South Africa have died in Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. Since then it has been said that Kuno is not a suitable place for cheetahs. Some experts are telling the Mukundra Tiger Reserve of Kota the right place for cheetahs.
If the MP wishes, leopards will come in two months
Bharat Singh appeared in favor of bringing leopards. He said that during the introduction of tigers, it was clear that leopards would not be brought here, but leopards are not safe in Kuno. In such a situation, Mukundra of Kota is the best for them. They will survive here. Bharat Singh lashed out at NTCA and said that NTCA is a disease. It is they who have created disturbance regarding the bringing of cheetahs here. If our MP (Speaker of the Lok Sabha) wants, leopards can come here in two months.
no plan to shift cheetah to mukundra
Bharat Singh told the media that being a member of Wildlife, I spoke to the responsible officials of the Forest Department. He says that he does not have any information about shifting Cheetah to Mukandra. When asked from the Chief Wildlife Warden, he said that there is no question of bringing cheetahs here, because the National Tiger Conservation Authority has forbidden us in writing that cheetahs cannot be brought here.
He said that at present the work of repairing the pond in Mukundara is in progress. There will be better water stagnation here and the health of the forest is going to be good from every point of view. He clearly said that NTCA is the only hindrance in bringing leopards here. After the recent death of the tigress, even the tiger should not be brought here.
