Ankit used to live in Argora with a rented house. The love affair was going on between Ankit and Nivedita for 5 years. Both were living in a live-in relationship and later their families also knew that Nivedita was not talking to Ankit for two months. Angered by this, Ankit had carried out this incident.

According to the information, Nivedita had gone to Harmu market on Friday with her friend Shrishti Kumari to have breakfast. She was returning to the hostel after having breakfast at 6.15 pm. When she reached 50 meters away from the hostel, her boyfriend Ankit Yadav Ahir reached her. He asked Nivedita why are you not talking to me, will you not marry me.

Nivedita did not give any answer to his words. Meanwhile, Ankit shot Nivedita three times. One bullet hit Nivedita in the eye, while two bullets hit the chest. At the same time, her friend Shrishti also got injured and fell on the road. Hearing the sound of the bullet, the people around came out of the houses, till then Ankit had fled from the spot.
