Punjab News:Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today (Tuesday) handed over appointment letters to 417 youths in Chandigarh. The newly appointed youths were from the Agriculture Department, Revenue Department, School Education, Cooperation, Local Government, Social Security, Water Supply and Sanitation, Tax and Excise, Health and Family Welfare, Finance Department, Industry and Commerce and Animal Husbandry Department. Addressing the program at Municipal Bhawan in Sector-35, the Chief Minister claimed that the state government has given 44,667 government jobs so far.
The Chief Minister said that after getting jobs, many youths are now bidding goodbye to foreign countries and preparing for government jobs in Punjab. He said that the youth are returning to the country because now government jobs are being given in Punjab without any recommendation and bribe. Emphasizing on a transparent recruitment process, the Chief Minister said that the youth will be given jobs only and only on the basis of merit. He said, "Getting a job is the right of a deserving youth. In this matter, I neither accept anyone’s recommendation nor let anyone’s recommendation work, because the youth trust me a lot. I will not let this trust break at any cost."
‘Youngsters going abroad were upset with the system’
Chief Minister Mann said, "I am very happy that our youth have shown faith in my government. No one wants to go away from the land of their ancestors. Most of the youth who went abroad were so fed up with our system that they had to leave their homes in search of employment. Traditional parties are responsible for this. Instead of doing good for the youth, they took care of their families." He said that traditional parties do not always appreciate the good works of the Aam Aadmi Party government.
We will take decisions for the progress of Punjab-CM Mann
Chief Minister Mann asked why the works like 44,667 government jobs, 300 units of free electricity, door-to-door ration scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1 crore each to the families of martyrs are not mentioned. Targeting Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa, the Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to take decisions for the progress of Punjab. He alleged that the Badal family and Captain Amarinder Singh did not pay any attention to the problems of Punjab. This is the reason why the public rejected both the leaders badly. He expressed concern over such leaders getting the reins of Punjab.
The Chief Minister said that history is always created by common people. The Aam Aadmi Party government in the state is a government of common people. He said that Punjabis also brought a big change in the state by handing over power to the youth from common households. Chief Minister Mann said that an ordinary leader like Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian defeated five-time Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal.
Taking aim at the Shiromani Akali Dal, the Chief Minister said, “Sukhbir Singh Badal used to claim to rule for 25 years, but at present his condition has become so pathetic that even 25 leaders are not able to gather with him. The Chief Minister said that the marginalized Akali leaders are apologizing to Sri Akal Takht Sahib, but do not mention their crimes”. On this occasion, Revenue Minister Bram Shankar Jimpa, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khuddian and Local Bodies Minister Balkar Singh, besides other officials were also present.
