‘This is our last message, leave Congress or else…’, Bajrang Punia gets death threat

Bajrang Punia News: Wrestler Bajrang Punia, who joined Congress before the Haryana assembly elections, has been threatened with death. He received a message on WhatsApp from a foreign number. However, Bajrang Punia has lodged a complaint in Bahalgarh police station of Sonipat.

In fact, wrestler Bajrang Punia joined the Congress on Friday and on the same day he was also made the working chairman of the Kisan Congress. Two days after this, Bajrang Punia received a death threat. After joining the Congress, Bajrang received a message on WhatsApp from a foreign number, which read, “Bajrang leave the Congress or else it will not be good for you and your family. This is our last message.”

Bajrang Punia has lodged a complaint in Bahalgarh police station of Sonipat regarding this threat. Police is investigating this whole matter seriously.

Let us tell you that wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat were part of the protest in 2023 against former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and then chief of Wrestling Federation of India Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over allegations of sexual harassment. Bajrang Punia is a bronze medalist at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
