Travelers going to Kedarnath Dham be careful! Devotees are being cheated in the name of helicopter tickets

Kedarnath Yatra 2023: With the permission to visit Kedarnath Dham, thugs have also become active. Passengers are being cheated in the name of getting helicopter tickets. Phata police has arrested a fraudster. After being produced in the court, the fraudster was sent to jail. Devotee Rambhau Chogle, who came from Thane in Maharashtra, lodged a complaint of cheating at Phata Chowki. The fraudster had tricked Rambhau Chogle to get eight tickets for the helicopter. In return, a demand of Rs 12,000 per ticket was made.

Cheating in the name of Kedarnath Yatra by helicopter

The passenger paid Rs 75 thousand in cash along with online transfer of Rs 25 thousand. After making the payment, the fraudster did not come for a long time. The fraudster switched off the phone and got confused. After realizing the fraud, the passenger took shelter of the police. The passenger lodged a complaint against the accused Ashish Rajendra Chowdhary son of Rajendra Eknath Chowdhary at Phata Chowki. Acting on the complaint, the police arrested the fraudster.

The thug reached behind the bars after the arrest

Fraudster Ashish Rajendra Chowdhary is a resident of Pune, Maharashtra. After the arrest, the police produced the fraudster in the court. The accused was sent to jail by the order of the court. District Magistrate Rudraprayag Mayur Dixit has appealed to the touts to be cautious. He advised passengers to book tickets only through IRCTC website. He told that action is being taken by the police to curb forgery. Please inform that Rambhau Chogle met Ashish Rajendra Chowdhary in Phata. He had assured to take Rambhau Chogle to Kedarnath by helicopter and give him darshan.
