Last month, Musk’s company Neuralink was approved for clinical trials by the US Food and Drug Administration ie FDA. Now the news is coming out that the company can complete the first human trial by the end of this year. The company’s co-founder Elon Musk said during an event that the human trial would start by the end of this year. However, he did not tell in how many people it would be tested and for how long this test would last.

If Musk’s company Neuralink succeeds, it will be a great achievement and this technology will especially benefit those who are suffering from paralysis, blindness, memory loss or neuro related diseases. Well, even if the clinical trial is still successful, it will take more than a decade for Musk’s company to get its commercial license and only after that they will be able to implant the computer chip in the human brain.

What is Neuralink?

For those who do not know what Neuralink chip is, in fact, it is an artificial intelligence chip that is attached to a computer and is implanted inside the human brain and then signals are given to the brain with the help of the computer. Then the body operates with the help of signals. With the help of this chip, many diseases can be detected ahead of time and they can also be treated in time. Neuralink is especially beneficial for people who are disabled or paralyzed.

Neuralink was launched in 2016. The company had sought approval from the FDA in 2022, but the application was rejected then and the FDA then spoke of several problems. But last month Musk’s company has got approval from FDA and now soon the company will start its first human trial.
