In response to this, Sunil Lahiri said, ‘Both are very good actors and I think they will do justice to the subject. Ranbir is a very good choice for the role of Ram and can give a good performance. Alia is also very talented, but I feel that if Alia had played the role of Sita 5 years back, she would have done more justice to the character. This is my personal opinion. I think Alia has changed a lot in these years. I am not sure how convincing she will be in the role of Sita now.

So in such a situation, when he was asked what advice he would give to those who are making a film on Ramayana, he said that its base should not be changed.
