According to Khaleej Times, there has been heavy rain and hailstorm in Al-Jouf area since last week. After snowfall in the hilly areas on Thursday (November 7), a spectacular snowy scene was created which further enhanced the beauty of the area.

Netizens shared videos and pictures of the snow-covered desert on social media, which left people astonished. The snowfall presented the desert in a new form and this scene created a stir on social media.

Tabuk and Al Bahah areas were also affected by this change in weather. According to the information, there was snowfall in the hilly areas of Al-Jouf on Monday (November 4).

The Meteorological Department has linked this hailstorm to the low pressure area originating from the Arabian Sea which extended till Oman. Because of this, moisture filled air came to this area, which is usually dry.

The Al-Jouf area is known for its seasonal wild flowers such as lavender, chrysanthemums and other fragrant plants. Where in summer there was only a view of the desert. Now snowfall has made the nature of this area even more beautiful.
