American model went to Brazil with family for vacation, got kidnapped

American Model Kidnapped with Family : Luciana Curtis, a model from New York, USA, her husband Henrique Gendre and their 11-year-old child were kidnapped at gunpoint in Sao Paulo, Brazil and held hostage in a remote hut for 12 hours. Let us tell you that this incident happened with the model on 27th November (Wednesday).

According to the report of Gazeta, a local newspaper of Sao Paulo, Luciana Curtis and her photographer husband Henrique Gendre, who were on holiday in Brazil, were surrounded by some armed criminals while leaving a local restaurant. After this, the gang of criminals forced him into his car at gunpoint and took him to a wooden hut. Which was a very simple hut, which had only a mattress, a toilet and a sink.

Police issued official statement in the case

According to the New York Post, the police said in its official statement in this case, “Armed criminals approached the victims outside the restaurant and took them hostage.” He further said, “While being held hostage, the gang forced the couple to transfer money from their bank accounts.” After the arrival of police search teams on 28 November (Thursday), the criminals released the hostage family and fled from there.

The model’s elder daughter suspected something untoward.

According to the Gazette report, Luciana Curtis’s elder daughter noticed that no one returned home even after a long time, so she informed her uncle, who immediately informed the police. “During the search and action by specialist police teams, the gang abandoned the family and fled,” police said.

The kidnapped family gave information to the police about the whereabouts of the criminals.

After the criminals left, the kidnapped family stopped a passing truck for help, in which the local people took them to the nearest police station. Where Anti-Kidnapping Division officials recorded their statements and started investigation. On the basis of the information received, the police found their hiding place. However, on reaching there it was found that the place was already vacant.

A spokesperson for the model confirmed her safety, saying, “The family has been released and are safe and well.”
