Earlier, Iranian state television had reported that at least five explosions were heard near the southern city of Bandar Abbas.

According to Tasnim News Agency, Iranian army spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Akarminiya said that the Strait of Hormuz will never open through war, America’s bullying and military action. He said that our army will not retreat from Hormju. Mohammad Akraminiya said that the only way to open Hormuz would be to respect the rights of the Iranian people. He bluntly said that we will avenge the blood of the martyrs and especially the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Trump said, ‘The United States is reinstating the blockade against Iran in Hormuz and will charge ships for safe passage.’ An Indian crew member was killed and eight others, including six Indians, were injured on Tuesday in Iran’s attack on two oil tankers of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Strait of Hormuz near Oman.

India condemned this attack. The Ministry of External Affairs summoned a senior official of the Iran Embassy and lodged a strong protest against these attacks. India said it is deeply concerned about the attacks on two ships named ‘MT Al Bahiyah’ and ‘MT Mombasa’ while passing through the strait.
