Saratov Airport: Russia has resumed flights to Saratov regional airport. Flights were banned after a drone attack by Ukraine. A part of the city’s tallest building was damaged in the Ukrainian drone attack. A woman was injured in this attack.
Russian news agency RIA reported that the restrictions imposed on the Saratov regional airport were lifted at around 9:30 am. The agency had earlier reported the ban, citing the airport’s press service. Regional governor Roman Busargin informed about the matter on the Telegram messaging app. He said that the drone attacks carried out by Ukraine were shot down by the Russian defense system, during which a residential complex in the city was damaged by debris from the drones.
A woman was seriously injured in the Ukrainian attack
Busargin said that during these attacks, ‘a woman has been admitted to the hospital in a critical condition, she is battling for her life in the hospital. Doctors are trying to save the woman’s life.’ The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Russian air defense system destroyed 9 drones in the Saratov region. This area of Russia is about 900 kilometers away from the Ukrainian border.

It is being told that Russia has a strategic bomber military base in Engels, which Ukraine has attacked several times since February 2022. At present, accurate information about the damage caused to the base is not available. This military base of Russia is far from the border of Ukraine. A video has been released by Russian news, which shows that a part of a high-rise residential building in Saratov has been damaged. Many windows have blown out in three floors.
