Lahore: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif has started preparations to play another game. He has expressed his desire to become the Prime Minister of PoK (Pakistan occupied Kashmir). Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Sharif said that if he becomes the Prime Minister of PoK, it would be possible for him to “personally oversee” development work in the region.
When will elections be held in PoK?
Let us tell you that elections are to be held in PoK between July 27 and August 10. Sharif made this comment during an election rally in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday. His daughter and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also participated in this rally organized in Muzaffarabad.
Through this rally, Nawaz Sharif also started the election campaign for his party in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. During this, he tried to lure people by mentioning his alleged association with PoK, who have been protesting against Pakistan for a long time.
What did Nawaz Sharif say about PoK?
While addressing the rally, Sharif said that PoK is as dear to him as his home province Punjab (Pakistan). He said, “This is my second home. My ancestors came from Kashmir. If my party wins, I will ask Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to make me the Prime Minister of PoK, so that I can personally oversee the development work there.”
What is India’s stand?
At the same time, India says that Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh are integral and inseparable parts of India. It also says that Pakistan has “illegally and forcibly occupied” parts of both union territories. India has lodged protests with Pakistan several times regarding the conduct of elections in PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan. It does not even recognize the so-called assemblies of these areas.
At the same time, let us tell you that recently the former CM of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah had said that the people of United Nation should go to PoK and see what is happening there.so that the world can also know about the conditions there.
