Recently, Hezbollah’s acting leader Sheikh Naim Qasim had threatened that more Israeli citizens would be displaced because his group is firing rockets targeting the interior areas of Israel. Qasim also issued a statement on television on Tuesday.
Let us tell you that Hezbollah has been attacking Israel for the last one year. These attacks began with the firing of rockets into northern Israel on October 8, 2023. Qasim also says that the military power of his group is still intact.
According to Qasim, in view of the Israeli air strikes, he has appointed new commanders in place of senior commanders because many senior Lebanese commanders have been killed in Israeli strikes. In such a situation, Qasim wants that senior commanders should be protected and new commanders should be deployed in their place.
Hezbollah’s top commander Suhail Hussaini has been killed
On October 7, on the anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attack, Israel carried out a massive attack in Beirut, killing a senior Hezbollah commander. The Israeli military said the strike killed Suhail Husseini, who was responsible for overseeing the terrorist group’s logistics, budget and management.
The Israeli military had said that Husseini was involved in supplying modern weapons from Iran and then delivering them to various Hezbollah units. Husseini was a member of the group’s military council. Israel has killed several top commanders, including Hezbollah’s top leader Hassan Nasrallah, in strikes in recent weeks.
