The project included some of America’s greatest scientists, including Jewish scientists who had fled from Germany. All of them were on a mission to make a bomb that could wipe out an entire country in a moment. However, the foundation of the Manhattan Project was laid when German scientists Otto Hahn and Fritz Stromann discovered a way to split uranium. He came to know that a huge amount of energy could be generated by breaking the nucleus of uranium.

Before the Second World War, Hitler started expelling the Jews from Germany. Then Lisa Meitner and other Jewish scientists took refuge in Western countries. However, America was worried that Nazi Germany might develop the atom bomb, so President Franklin D. Roosevelt, along with Einstein, started the secret Manhattan Project. The first brick of the Manhattan Project was laid in 1942 in Manhattan, New York, but later its main center was transferred to Los Alamos. America and Russia have 90 percent nuclear bombs
According to a report by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), a Swedish think tank, America and Russia currently possess 90 percent of the world’s nuclear bombs. Which is as follows. America has 5044 and Russia has 5580. All these nuclear bombs are 100 times more dangerous than the atomic bomb used in 1945.
