Iran will expel illegal people from the country

Due to increasing immigration, people who have entered the country illegally will be sent back to their country. According to Ibrahim Rezai, spokesperson of Iran’s Parliamentary National Security Committee, soon 20 lakh people who have entered the country illegally will be sent back to their country in a respectful manner.

Large number of Afghan migrants present in Iran

Although Iran has not yet released official figures on the number of Afghan immigrants, according to Iranian Parliament member Abolfazl Torabi, there are between 6 to 7 million Afghan refugees in Iran.

A wall is being built to stop immigrants

Both Iran and Afghanistan share a border of more than 900 kilometers. The flow of Afghan immigrants to Iran increased after the US forces returned in 2021 and the Taliban came to power in the country. According to Iranian media, apart from building a wall, the army there can also use methods like barbed wire and trenches. According to information received from Iranian media, a wall more than 10 kilometers long has been built on the border and work is going on to build a wall in an area of ​​50 kilometers.
