Israeli PM Netanyahu warns Macron: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, speaking by phone with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday, October 6, warned that any potential arms embargo on Israel would only benefit Iran and its allies.
French President Emmanuel Macron has demanded a ban on giving arms to Israel. Condemning this, Netanyahu said that France and Western countries should be ashamed.
We also have expectations from friends: Netanyahu
Netanyahu said that just as Iran supports its regional allies, Israel expects similar support from its friends. He said that imposing sanctions on Israel will only increase Iran’s influence. Netanyahu told Macron, “Just as Iran supports its staunch allies in terrorism, Israel’s friends are expected to support it, and not impose sanctions that will only strengthen the staunchest of Iranian evil.” “
He said Israel’s increased military action against Hezbollah is aimed at establishing better stability in the region and allowing civilians in northern Israel who were evacuated due to Hezbollah rocket attacks to return to their homes.
