Asif Ali Zardari Fracture: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari suffered a fracture in his leg while deboarding the plane at Dubai International Airport. The incident happened on Wednesday (30 October) night, but his office confirmed it late on Thursday (31 October).
According to a statement issued from Rashtrapati Bhavan, after the fall he was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. After examination, the doctor put plaster on his leg. “The plaster will remain on his leg for four weeks,” the statement said. It said that President Zardari has been sent home and he has been advised to take complete rest.
Is Zardari suffering from health related problems?
The 69-year-old President has suffered many health problems in recent years. In March 2023, he underwent eye surgery in the United Arab Emirates. In 2022, he was admitted to Dr Ziauddin Hospital in Karachi for a week for treatment of chest infection. Amid rumors of ill health, his personal physician and close aide Dr Asim Hussain confirmed on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) that he is “in good health.”
