PM Modi Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Reached Nigeria on the first day of a three-day foreign tour. The special thing is that after 17 years an Indian Prime Minister has reached Nigeria, where he was given a grand welcome.
PM Modi said. “Thank you very much for welcoming me and my delegation. It is a matter of happiness for me that I have got the opportunity to come to Nigeria at the beginning of my third term. I am very grateful to you for this. I express my condolences for the deaths caused by floods in Nigeria last month. India is sending 30 tons of humanitarian aid to help you.”
Prime Minister Modi said that Nigeria has been given the status of partner country in BRICS. I want to congratulate Nigeria for this important achievement. We give high priority to our partnership with Nigeria.
Modi received Nigeria’s national honor
PM Modi said that we have been working together against challenges like terrorism and separatism and will continue to do so. Thank you for taking care of the Indians living in Nigeria. I express my heartfelt gratitude to you for giving me the National Honor of Nigeria. This is the honor of 140 crore Indians. This is respect for our relations.
Meeting with the President of Nigeria
After meeting the Nigerian President, PM Modi wrote on his X handle, “Had a very meaningful discussion with President Tinubu. We talked about giving further impetus to our strategic partnership. There is immense potential to further expand relations in defence, energy, technology, trade, health, education and other sectors.”

Indian companies will benefit
Even though the import and export figures between these two countries are not big, but from this visit of PM Modi, it can be expected that doors will be opened for Indian companies in sectors like infrastructure, defense and mining in Nigeria. India will benefit greatly from this.
