Rapid firing on a close aide of Khalistani supporter Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Pannu targeted India

Firing : A close associate of pro-Khalistan extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was killed in Canada last year, was shot dead in the US. According to a Hindustan Times report, the incident took place on August 11. Satinder Pal Singh Raju was travelling in a pick-up truck on a California highway when he was attacked. However, he survived the attack. It may be noted that the relations between India and Canada had soured due to the murder of pro-Khalistan Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was killed in Canada last year. Now the news of firing on Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s associate has created a tense situation. Satinder Pal Singh Raju is said to be close to Nijjar. He was travelling in a truck on August 11. During this time, the truck was fired upon. However, Raju’s life was saved. The shooters fired bullets at him near San Francisco, California, USA.

US police did not confirm the attack
This attack on Raju happened on 11 August when he was traveling by truck. His truck was passing through a highway in California, when the shooters opened fire. A day before this, a similar case came to light in the city of Surrey in British Columbia, where firing took place at the residence of former Gurudwara president Raghbir. Earlier on 18 June 2023, Nijjar was murdered. Raju is associated with the separatist group Sikh for Justice. Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has described Raju as close to Nijjar. Pannu said that Raju has been attacked. Pannu has accused India of being behind this attack. However, the US police has not yet announced anyone’s arrest.

According to the report, Raghbir Nijjar and Hardeep Nijjar are from the same village. Both are relatives. Raghbir was again trying to become the president of the gurudwara. Pannu has tried to corner the Indian government on this issue. Pannu said that by targeting Raju, there is an attempt to suppress the Khalistan referendum campaign. On August 10, the house of Raghbir Nijjar, former president of Guru Nanak Sikh Temple in Surrey, was also fired upon for the same reason.
