The USCBP provides data according to its fiscal year, which runs from October to September of the following year. In 2022, there were a total of 109,535 attempts to come to the US illegally. The number of Indians among these was about 16 percent. This percentage remained stable in 2023. However, the number of people crossing the border illegally has increased rapidly and the total number of such cases has reached 189,402. The number of Indians among these was 30,010. This year it has increased further. This year, about 43,764 Indians have been caught trying to come to America illegally. The total number of such cases this year is 198,929. If we look at the data of Indians, it is around 22 percent.

Earlier there used to be more illegal entry from Mexico border
