According to Swiss air quality technology company IQAir, the air of Lahore city of Pakistan was the most polluted in the world on Tuesday. Let us tell you that on Tuesday afternoon, the Air Quality Index (AQI) of Lahore was 429, whereas, the real time Air Quality Index reading in one area was 720.

UNICEF issues warning regarding deteriorating air quality

Geo News reported that UNICEF has issued a warning regarding the deteriorating air quality of Pakistan. UNICEF said that the highly polluted air in Punjab is having a deep impact on people’s lives. This is creating a risk of serious illness in the body. Due to this severe pollution, it is feared that the health of one crore children under five years of age will be affected. At the same time, the number of patients in hospitals is also increasing.

Forced to breathe poisonous air: Abdullah

Pakistan UNICEF representative Abdullah Fadil said in Islamabad that the smog situation continues in Punjab, Pakistan. In such a situation, the health of small children remains a cause of our concern, because children are forced to breathe polluted, poisonous air. As a precaution, schools and public places have been closed in Lahore and its surrounding cities. People are also being appealed to stay in their homes.
