US President Donald Trump said he is considering launching a more “massive attack” on Iran than Operation Epic Fury, but stressed that no final decision has been taken yet. “I am considering a major attack, we are fully prepared for it,” Trump told Israel’s Channel 12. He said Israel would join “within two minutes” if asked, but added that the US does not need an ally to launch a new operation. Trump also claimed that Iran was willing to talk, but “it hasn’t hurt enough yet.”
Major attack by Houthi rebels in Red Sea
The war in the Middle East has become more dangerous. Yemen’s Houthi rebels target two Saudi Arabian oil tankers in the Red Sea. Houthi rebels attacked Saudi Arabia’s oil tankers with cruise missiles and drones, following which both ships caught fire. Houthi rebels have opened a new front of war in the Red Sea. Already, due to tensions between Iran and America, crude oil has crossed $98. American crude oil has also come close to $89 per barrel. In such a situation, global oil supply is under serious threat due to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea and increasing geopolitical tension in Western Asia.
Jordan destroyed American air defense system
America bombed Iran for the 12th consecutive night. Iran’s naval base blew up missiles and drone warehouse, destroyed coastal surveillance post and air defense system. In response, Iran launched drone and missile attacks on US military bases in Jordan and Kuwait. Iran targeted ammunition and logistics depots, Patriot defense systems and MQ-9 drone depots in Kuwait, while claiming to have destroyed the American THAAD air defense system in Jordan.
America is continuously attacking and Iran is also continuously retaliating, but American President Trump is still saying that Iran will be ready for an agreement very soon, even if it is not suffering losses due to American attacks. The ongoing war in the Gulf has once again worried the entire world.
