According to World Bank data, the total GDP of the world is 100 trillion dollars. In such a situation, Google is not in a position to pay this amount.

Lawsuits were filed against Russian media outlets in August

According to an NDTV report, the fine imposed on Google comes after three counter-lawsuits were filed against Russian media outlets in August. All three lawsuits say the Russian court’s decision to financially penalize Google and its affiliates for non-compliance is “unfair.”

Google blocked thousands of YouTube channels

Notably, shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2020, Google announced it was pausing its monetization program for Russian state-funded media, which exploited Moscow’s role in the Russia-Ukraine war. And rejected him.

A Reuters report claims that Google has blocked more than 1,000 YouTube channels in compliance with its content policies regarding the war. After this Google also started imposing fines daily.
