The world’s biggest football tournament ‘FIFA World Cup’ has come to a grand conclusion. in the final match Spain won the title by defeating Argentina 1-0. US President Donald Trump, along with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, handed over the World Cup trophy to the winning team Spain.

However, even though Spain has won this tournament, President Trump is considering it a big victory for America. He said, “It proved that America is also a football loving country and will continue to be so. This event has brought the entire world together.”

Speaking to reporters, Trump said he was proud of the country’s success as a host. He added, “People come here from all over the world and they love our country.” He described the final as a tough and exciting match and praised Spain for its excellent performance. He had arrived at Sunday’s final match in the presidential helicopter Marine One.

America ready to host again

President Trump is so happy with the success of this event that he has suggested to the FIFA President to hold the next World Cup in America again soon. This time the World Cup was jointly hosted by America, Canada and Mexico. The government was initially criticized due to strict visa rules and restrictions on fans from some countries such as Iran.

Controversy arose during the tournament when President Trump himself called the FIFA President. Actually, Trump was angry with the ‘red card’ (decision to throw him out of the match) to American player Folarin Balogun and had asked to review this decision.
