Two Christian girls in Pakistan were accused of blasphemy; a pile of Quran pages was found outside their house

Pakistan: A case of blasphemy has come to light in Pakistan’s Punjab province. According to news agency PTI, a case of blasphemy has been registered against two young Christian sisters. Police said that a case of blasphemy has been registered against both the sisters under the Pakistan Penal Code.

Police officer Shaukat Ali informed the news agency PTI about this matter. He said that this matter came to light on Wednesday (07 August) in Gojra of Toba Tek Singh district, about 200 km away. In Gojra, 20-year-old Samia Masih and Sonia Masih had thrown a sack full of pages of the Quran outside the house.

What is the reason for the controversy?

Police officer Shaukat Ali said, ‘A neighbor saw Sonia Masih throwing this sack. When the neighbor immediately asked Sonia about this, Samia got into a fight with her. After the fight over the alleged insult of the Quran, a crowd gathered there.

Saima was beaten up by the crowd

After the fight, the crowd gathered and beat up Saima and informed the police about the matter. The police immediately reached the spot and arrested Saima. According to the report, this Christian family living in Gojra left the house after the alleged insult of the Quran. It was told that the police is investigating Sonia Masih. Teams are being formed at various places to search for Sonia.

‘The allegations are false’

Advocate Akmal Bhatti, President of Minority Alliance Pakistan, has called the blasphemy charges against the two young Christian sisters false. Advocate Akmal Bhatti issued a statement in this regard and said that the allegations leveled by the complainants against the two Christian sisters are false. He said that people were deliberately incited against the Christian family.
