Actually, PM Modi is on a tour of Ukraine. He reached Kiev on Friday (23 August) morning by train directly from Poland. On reaching Kiev, he was warmly welcomed by the people of the Indian community. During this, PM Modi met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

When UN Secretary General’s spokesperson Stephane Dujarric was asked about Prime Minister Modi’s visit amid the ongoing war in Ukraine, he said that this visit of PM Modi can end the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.

This is the first visit of the Indian PM to Ukraine
