Nawazuddin had said that depression does not happen in villages, now Shivin and Jasmine reacted

Jasmin Bhasin-Shivin Narang reacts on Depression: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui talked about depression some time back. He had said that depression does not happen in villages, it is a matter of cities. Now TV actors Shivin Narang and Jasmine Bhasin have reacted on this.

Jasmine Bhasin said, ‘Depression is universal. It can be village, city, educated or illiterate, anywhere and anyone. It doesn’t matter, only the reaction may be different. Everyone has the right to express their opinion, but depression is not linked to village or city.

Jasmine’s mother had depression

He further said- ‘People like us who live in metros, we know more about it because it is discussed more, but depression happens everywhere. I have a case of my own mother, in which she did not know for years that she had depression.

On the other hand, actor Shivin Narang said- ‘When it comes to villages and cities, I have seen cases of depression coming from both the places. I have seen that people from both the places are struggling with this. People in cities are more aware about it. There are many doctors here with whom one can talk about it. Counseling can be done. There are options to deal with it. At the same time, it is still ignored in the villages. Depression is a disease, it has nothing to do with city and village.

What did Nawazuddin say on depression?
Nawazuddin had said, ‘I have come from a place where, if I had told my father that I was feeling depressed, he would have slapped me hard. Depression was not there, no one gets depression there, everyone is happy. But after coming to the city, I came to know about anxiety, depression, bipolar.
