Uniform Civil Code: Rhetoric continues regarding the statement given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Bhopal on Tuesday (June 27). Meanwhile, on Friday (June 30), All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi asked PM Modi several questions regarding the UCC.

PM Modi had said in a BJP program in Bhopal, “The work of provoking people is being done in the name of Uniform Civil Code. If there is one law for one member in a house and another for the other, will the house be able to run? How will the country be able to run with such a dual system?
He further said that by hanging the noose of ‘triple talaq’ on Muslim daughters, some people want a free hand to persecute them forever. These people also support triple talaq.
