The Audi car of Sanket Bawankule, son of Maharashtra BJP Chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule, hit several vehicles in Nagpur. Two people including the driver have been arrested in this case. According to news agency PTI, the police gave this information. The police officer said that this incident happened in the early hours of Monday. The Audi collided with the car of the complainant named Jitendra Sonkambale and a moped. Two people were injured due to this.
Sanket Bawankule fled after the accident- Police
According to the police, this incident took place in Ramdaspeth area of Nagpur. Officers of Sitabuldi police station said that at 1 am the Audi car first hit the car of complainant Jitendra Sonkambale. Then it hit a moped. Two people riding in it were injured. After this, the Audi going towards Mankapur area hit some more vehicles. There, at a T-point, the Audi hit a Polo car. The people riding in it chased the Audi and stopped it near the Mankapur bridge. They said that three people including Sanket Bawankule ran away.
Police further said that the Audi driver Arjun Haware and Ronit Chittamwar were stopped by people in a Polo car. They were taken to the Tehsil police station. From there, they were handed over to the Sitabuldi police for further investigation.
Accident happened while returning from beer bar- Police
The officer said that the people in the Audi were returning from a beer bar in Dharampeth when this incident happened. However, the police did not inform whether any of them was drunk or not. Based on the complaint of Jitendra Sonkambale, a case was registered for negligent driving and other matters. However, later the driver Arjun Havre and Ronit Chittamwar were released on bail. Further investigation is going on.

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule also reacted to this incident. He accepted that the Audi car is registered in the name of his son. The police should conduct a detailed investigation without taking anyone’s side. Charges should be framed against those who are guilty and appropriate action should be taken. He said, “I have not spoken to any police officer. The law should be equal for everyone.”
