What is the connection between rain and pain?

According to Dr. Sood, the main reason for this is the change in barometric pressure inside the body and cold temperature. When rain is about to arrive, the air pressure changes gradually. Apart from this, cold weather reduces blood flow to those parts of the body, due to which muscles, tendons and tissues feel stiff and heavy. Dr. Sood explains that after any injury, surgery or inflammatory disease, that part becomes weaker than before, and even this small change in the weather starts affecting that part.

In such a situation, many people get scared thinking that increasing pain in the rain means that some new damage has happened inside. But Dr. Sood makes it clear that this is not necessary. He says that the pain sensing system has become more sensitive than before, so it starts sensing those changes which the body used to ignore earlier. This is the reason why some people feel pain before or during the rain.
