CBSE 12th Result 2026: Will CBSE 12th results come late? The board gave this information

There is a lot of tension among students and parents regarding the 12th class result of Central Board of Secondary Education. There is speculation on social media and many news portals that there will be a delay in releasing the 12th board results by CBSE. Many teachers have also claimed that this time the process of verification of copies is going on slowly and due to this the result may be delayed. Some teachers claim that the examination of copies of major subjects like Business Studies and Biology has started recently, whereas a lot of time has passed since the board examinations were over. After this, questions started being raised regarding the result date.

How are board copies being checked?

Let us tell you that CBSE has implemented On-Screen Marking i.e. OSM system for the first time. Earlier the examiners used to check physical copies, but now the answer sheets are being scanned and checked on the digital platform. The board said that this will speed up the evaluation process and also increase transparency. However, according to the questions and allegations raised by the teachers, there are technical difficulties in the new system.

What questions were asked from CBSE?

12th result is not just the result of the examination, but it is also an important stage for deciding the direction of college admission, professional course and career. Therefore, we also asked many questions on the claims being made on social media and news portals regarding the delay in results. Apart from this, ABP News questioned CBSE on the allegations of teachers and educationists. CBSE was asked whether the process of preparing results is going slow due to technical glitches in the portal? An attempt was made to know from the board that if the examination of some subjects has started late, will it affect the result date? Also, the question was raised that what preparations has the Board made to complete the evaluation process on such a large scale on time? Are you having trouble logging in and the server is intermittently stopping? Are the scanned copies opening late, due to which the checking teachers are taking more time to check the copies?

CBSE gave this information

CBSE officials, while giving direct answers to all the questions of ABP News, have said that they are not facing any such problem and the results will be declared on time. Let us tell you that this year about 18.5 lakh students have given the 12th board exam. Examination of more than 120 subjects has been conducted and crores of sheets have to be examined. In such a situation, it is very important to complete the evaluation process on time. Some reports claimed that the evaluators are facing difficulty in working due to the new digital system. In such a situation, it was necessary to clarify whether the situation is really as serious as it is being said or is it a normal part of initial technical challenges?

What response was received from CBSE and sources?

According to information received from official and reliable sources of CBSE, there is no possibility of any delay in the result at present. The board is preparing to release the results within the stipulated time. Sources clearly said that the result process is going on normally and students do not need to panic. The evaluation work is going on and the board is moving forward keeping the timeline in mind. Last year i.e. in 2025, CBSE 12th result was released on 13 May. Students are hopeful that this time too the results will be out by mid-May.

So many students had given the exam

year 2026 About 18.5 lakh students had appeared in the 12th examination. These include approximately 10.2 lakh boys and 8.3 lakh girls. The examinations were held between February and April. Now everyone’s eyes are fixed on the result date. The Board believes that digital evaluation system is the need of the future. With this, copies can be checked in a uniform manner and human errors are reduced. However, it is not unusual for some technical challenges to arise at the initial stage when the new system is implemented.

What are the concerns of students and parents?

Waiting for the results every year is full of tension and curiosity for the students. It is the same this time also. Students appearing for 12th exam are now busy preparing for further studies and college admission. Many students say that it will be easier to plan ahead if the result date is clear. Especially those students who want to study in the country as well as abroad. For those preparing for entrance exams or studying abroad, the timing of results matters a lot.

Students are worried because of this

Questions are constantly being asked on social media regarding the result date. Some students are confused after seeing different reports, while many are waiting for the official announcement of the board. Parents also believe that clear information regarding the results should be available soon, so that unnecessary rumors can be avoided. Ayush, a student of a public school in Dwarka, says that I read the news at many places that the results would be delayed, which scared me. I have applied to many universities to study in UK and USA, so I am very eagerly waiting for the results. Neeti, a student of a government school located in Central Delhi, says that my exams went very well and hence I am waiting for good results. I am also preparing for the entrance exam and am very excited for the results. I am not scared.
