When one enters the college world for the first time after twelfth, a lot changes from the way of studying, to the dress, friends, circle, rules. After leaving school, this world of college is not very understandable in the first days. Along with the new environment, there is a struggle to adjust with new courses, new teachers, new campus and new study method. At this time, if some things are taken care of, then you can easily adjust in college too.
College not to be missed
After getting admission, take full care that the college should not be missed for a single day. Go to college from day one and attend all the classes. In the beginning, if something is left out or the introduction from the teacher to the classmates is left, then you will not be able to match the pace of the class. They go on and on and you don’t know whether to finish the previous one or move on.
Learn note-taking techniques
In college, notes are usually written during studies. Refine this technique further and keep it from speed to concentration in such a way that nothing is left out. It will take some time to match the rhythm of the class but you will master it in a few days. Repeat these notes after going home, this will help in studies, secondly, if you are not able to read something written in haste, then clean it from friends or teacher the very next day.
Participate fiercely in activities
Participate in extra-curricular activities in the college as per your interest. Join the field in which you are interested, but apart from studies, focus on this area as well. This will not only interest you in college but will also make your friends soon. Do not get bogged down in studies and take full advantage of other facilities available there, including sports.
Be Active in Class
Be active in every part from questioning to answering the teacher in the class. For this you have to do pre preparation. This preparation will also help you in the long run because when you study for the whole year, there will be no pressure of studies at the end. Go after keeping an eye on what will be taught tomorrow and after coming back, repeat what was taught on the same day. If you get stuck somewhere, clear it with the teacher. With this you will perform better and studies will not be a burden. Along with this, actively participate in group activities. Be it GD or debate or any other competition must take part in it.
