Re-NEET UG 2026 Result: 11.21 lakh candidates passed, students from Punjab-Haryana topped

The wait of lakhs of students who appeared for NEET UG 2026 exam is finally over. National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the result of Re-NEET 2026. Candidates can check their scorecard by visiting the official website neet.nta.nic.in. This time’s result is also special because NEET UG 2026 was in the news due to paper leak controversy. The earlier examination had to be cancelled, after which the examination was conducted again across the country on 21 June 2026. Now NTA has released the results before the scheduled deadline, due to which the counseling and admission process of medical colleges can start on time.

11.21 lakh candidates were successful

About 20 lakh candidates had appeared in the re-conducted examination. Of these, 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified the exam. This means that despite challenges like paper leaks, cancellation of exams and re-examination, a large number of students were successful.

Students from Punjab and Haryana topped

This year, Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana have become joint toppers. Both scored 715 marks out of 720.

These are the top points of the result

• 19 candidates scored more than 700 marks
• 138 candidates scored more than 690 marks
• 1492 candidates scored 650 or more marks
• 10160 candidates scored more than 600 marks

Great performance by girls

This time, more than 58 percent of the successful candidates are women. The success percentage of girls was also better than that of men. 56.8 percent of women who took the exam qualified, while among men this figure was 55.1 percent.

Dominance of those taking the exam for the first time

Of the 138 candidates who scored more than 690 marks, more than 93 percent were first-time NEET takers. The age of almost all of them is between 17 to 19 years.

Successful candidates from every state

Candidates from all 36 states and union territories of the country have passed the examination. Maximum 1.7 lakh candidates from Uttar Pradesh were successful, while 43 candidates from Lakshadweep qualified.

The exam was conducted in 13 languages

Re-NEET 2026 was conducted in 13 languages. These include Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Assamese and Urdu.

Now what next?

Now the All India Quota counseling of MBBS and BDS will be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), while the counseling for state quota will be conducted by the respective state governments. NTA has advised the candidates to beware of fake calls, fraud in the name of getting seats, hoax of increasing scores and cyber fraudsters asking for money. The agency has said that students should take information only from official websites and immediately report any suspicious activity to NTA.
