Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Singh Dilawar started this scheme from Khedli village of Ramganjmandi assembly constituency of Kota district of Rajasthan. On this occasion, the minister honored the cowherds selected from 14 villages by wearing headdress and garland on the stage. On this occasion, the Minister said that cow’s milk is very beneficial for the physical and mental development of children. He said that children who drink cow’s milk become more intelligent and energetic.

How will the cowherds be appointed?

Under the scheme, cowherds will be appointed in every village to take care of the cows. In this, one cowherd will be appointed for every 70 cows. If the number of cows increases in a village, then two or three cowherds will also be appointed. The cowherd will have to collect cows from all the houses in the village in the morning. They will have to be taken to the grazing land for grazing throughout the day. In the evening, the cows will have to be safely returned to their owners’ homes. Each cowherd will be given Rs 10,000 per month, this salary will be directly given to the government. Budget Not from the government, but from the donations collected through Bhamashah cooperation.

Social and cultural importance of the scheme

The importance of this scheme is not limited to just providing employment. The scheme keeps alive the ancient grazing tradition, increases local employment opportunities in rural areas, gives social respect to the care of cows and contributes to the development and health of children. Minister Dilawar said that desi cow’s milk is especially beneficial. They believe that drinking cow’s milk is beneficial for mental and physical development of children, whereas drinking buffalo’s milk can cause lethargy in children. This scheme is not at direct government expense. It will be run with the cooperation of Bhamashahs and local people.
