Adipurush Team To Dedicate One Seat In Every Theater To Lord Hanuman

New Delhi: Prabhas, Kirti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Adipurush’ is all set to release on June 16, and the film’s cast is busy promoting the highly anticipated mythological film. The makers of the film have now announced that they would be dedicating one seat to Lord Hanuman inside every theater to respect people’s beliefs. That seat will not be sold.

The makers issued an official statement that read, “Lord Hanuman appears wherever the Ramayana is recited. It is our belief. Respecting this belief, every theater screening Prabhas’ Rama-starrer Adipurush will reserve one seat for Lord Hanuman without selling it. Hear the history of paying respects to the greatest devotee of Rama. We started this great work in an unknown way. We all must see the Adipurusha built with great grandeur and grandeur in the presence of Lord Hanuman.”

Adipurush pre-release event
The makers have also planned a mega pre-release event at the Sri Venkateswara University Stadium in Tirupathi today from 6 PM onwards, with Chinna Jeeyar Swamy garu attending as the chief guest. The second trailer of the film will also be released at the event.

Prabhas visited the Tirumala temple in Tirupati to seek blessings ahead of the pre-release event. Dressed in a white kurta pajama, the actor adorned a red silk shawl as he made his way through the temple amid heavy security.

A mythological drama based on the Ramayana, the film has been written and directed by Om Raut. The film features Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as goddess Sita, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan.

The trailer of the film was released last month and received a good response.

Adipurush controversy
‘Adipurush’ had courted controversy in October 2022 after the first teaser of the movie was heavily criticized on social media for the quality of visual effects as well as its depiction of Hindu deities.

It was also slammed for the apparent Islamisation of Lankesh, played by Saif, as the demon king was seen sporting a beard and buzz cut. The row prompted the makers to push the movie’s release date from January to June 2023.

The film is set to premiere at the Tribeca Festival in the Escape From Tribeca section on June 15, a day before its theatrical release.
